RIO DE JANEIRO, July 24 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo are close to signing CSKA Moscow's Brazilian forward Vitinho, according to reports in the Brazilian press.
The Russian side have agreed in principle to the move, which will see Flamengo pay 10 million euros to secure the 24-year-old on a four-year deal.
Vitinho made 58 league appearances for CSKA and scored 17 goals following his 2013 move from Botafogo. During that time he had a two-year loan-spell at Brazil's Internacional, where he netted 19 times in 61 matches.
The deal represents one of Flamengo's most expensive signings in their 123-year history.
The Rio de Janeiro outfit currently lead the Brazilian Serie A standings with nine wins and just two losses from their first 14 matches of the season.
